The Royal Horticultural Society have announced a show at Chatsworth, Derbyshire as the society have achieved their plan to fill a space in its coverage of the north of England.
The show is expected to be in late June of 2017, providing visitors with an event prior to Hampton Court and after BBC Gardeners’ World Live.
The show held at Hampton Court will be scheduled a week later in 2017, in early July, with the RHS’s late July Tatton Park show continuing as well.
Prior to the official announcement RHS director general Sue Biggs would not comment on Chatsworth directly but said: “In the Midlands and northern England we have very little apart from Tatton Park, so we’re looking at things, whether it be a garden or a show.
“We will be at Tatton Park next year. If it remains successful it will still be there. We review our shows every year. We can’t give any of our four gardens away but shows are a different thing.”
However, it has now been announced that there will be a RHS Chatsworth Flower Show!
